In the holidays I went to see Born to dance in the cinemas it is about this person and his name is TU and he puts an audition in to be in the best crew in New Zealand and their name is k-crew he is already in a crew of his own so he has to make the choice between his crew and k-crew and one of the choices are wrong.

The MindLab in Petone

Yesterday on the 22nd of September We Took a trip down to MindLab in Petone there was: 3d printing, coding games and javascript codes, makey makey, stop motion animations, and building mini cars with motors and scribble bots.

This is a photo of Jacob p building a mini car out of:

4 CD's for wheels,

2 skewers to hold the wheels onto the frame of the car,

1 or 2 motors + proplers + batters and batter compartment 

1 frame 

And as many cable ties and straws as we wanted 

This was a big challenge for some people to get the wheels to move correctly and the motor to move at the right polarity

Selfies for Digi Awards

This term we have been learning about photography. Miss G has been teaching us about different angles and how to edit photos.

On thursday night i played a game on basketball and we won 32, 18 it was a hard game but we managed to score some layups witch made us win the game. 

We tried a ticqunique called 5 out that is were there is 5 people around the 3 point line and the person with the ball is at the top of the 3 point line and the others are around it.

Uranus information report

Uranus, a lovely bluey green with a mix of brown little planet with a lot of facts to share that is

what we will be doing in a very interesting way.It’s also known as the seventh place in the Solar System or in another way to say it, the second to last planet apart from the sun. Also if you want to land on Uranus it might be impossible, because it is one of the gas giants, the gas giants are planets that has hurricane wind and if you try to go down the bottom your ship could possibly fall apart.

If you wonder why Uranus is blue, green and brown, it is because it is an icy planet. Uranus is made out of ice like water, hydrogen and carbon dioxide. Uranus is different to all other planets because it spins on its side so if the sun didn’t just shine through Uranus it would never turn to night for the top and bottom. Uranus is the third largest planet in our solar system with a radius of 25,362 and the diameter is 50,724.

Uranus is the seventh planet from the sun so that means it is very cold it in our solar system which is in the milky way in other words our galaxy. Uranus  is one of the farthest planets away from the sun so it haven’t been investigated.

Uranus has only a little bit less gravity than earth so things could flout but not by much it has 8.69 m/s and earth has 9.807m/s. Uranus has no atmosphere so it gets really cold at night and really hot in the day.uranus spins so fast that it only takes 1 hour to rotate and so the sides only have a 1 hour day and 1 hour night.

in conclusion uranus is an interesting planet to read about and to learn about but before you laugh uranus isn’t pronounced your-anus it is pronounced your-in-nis. here is a link to some more information if you need it. click here

Cross Country

cheetahs right behind me hot on my tail

roaring as they go

over the hill to only see the other side

sun growing stronger

swiftly passing myself back down the hill

counting the flaps of the bird's wings as they’re flying bye

over the mud and down the track

under the rustling trees and around the corner

trees rustling like side to side like ol clock

rusty wire on every side pointing to the end

yes made it to the end time for a nice sausage

All this work pile up my desk

They looking like a mount'

All the other kids run around

How to create a successful Burma trail. Goal: To get scared out of your skin. Equipment: Scary parents, dark bush, tall trees, rope, kids and a hazy night. 1.Tie rope from tree to tree to create a trail. 2.Scatter the parents around the trail. 3.Sort the parents roles. 4.Gather the parents with the kids again. 5.Wait for the sun to slowly descend from the sky. 6.Send the parents back out to their assigned spots. 7.Parents jump out at kids and give them frights. 8.Kids will come out after having a scary but enjoyable time. If this does not work you are just not scary. That's what the Burma trail at Green Pastures is.
